DailyCalc Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Liu (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with DailyCalc (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the handling of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

DailyCalc is designed to perform everyday calculations and help you save or manage calculation-related information, such as history, saved plans, subscriptions, goals, reminders, and favorite currency pairs.

We aim to collect only the information needed to operate, support, secure, and improve the App.

2. Information You Enter or Create

When using the App, you may enter or create information such as:

• Calculation inputs and results, including tips, bill splits, receipt items, taxes, discounts, loans, mortgages, dates, units, prices, currency amounts, travel values, and related notes.
• Saved history, saved plans, subscriptions, savings goals, reminders, favorite currency pairs, and other saved app content.
• Support messages and contact information if you email us for help.

3. Information Collected Automatically

Depending on the features you use and your device settings, the App may process limited technical information such as:

• App version, device model, operating system version, language, and region.
• Diagnostic, crash, or performance information if such functionality is enabled.
• Purchase and subscription status provided by Apple or a purchase validation service.
• Currency pair and request time when live exchange-rate features are used.

4. Local Storage

Many App features may store information locally on your device. This may include history, saved plans, subscriptions, goals, reminders, preferences, manual rates, cached rates, and favorite currency pairs.

You can delete certain saved content within the App where deletion controls are provided. Deleting the App may remove locally stored data, depending on your device and sync settings.

5. iCloud and Sync

If the App offers iCloud sync or you enable iCloud-related features, certain App data may be synced through Apple’s iCloud services using your Apple ID. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not control Apple’s iCloud services.

6. Notifications and Reminders

If you enable reminders, the App may schedule local notifications for subscription renewals, savings goals, progress updates, or other reminder-based features. Notification content may include information you entered, such as a subscription name, renewal amount, goal name, or suggested savings amount.

You can turn off notifications in the App where supported or in your device settings.

7. Live Exchange Rates

If you use live exchange-rate features, the App or our service may request exchange-rate data from a third-party provider. These requests may include currency pairs, such as EUR/USD, and related technical request information.

Saved plans, saved goals, subscription names, personal notes, and other unrelated saved content are not sent to exchange-rate providers as part of a basic exchange-rate request.

8. In-App Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We may receive information needed to unlock Pro features, such as product identifier, transaction status, purchase date, expiration date, and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card details.

9. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide calculations, saved history, saved plans, subscriptions, goals, reminders, export, and sync features.
• Provide live, cached, or manual exchange-rate functionality.
• Manage Pro access and purchase status.
• Respond to support requests.
• Improve reliability, performance, usability, and security.
• Comply with legal, platform, and security obligations.

10. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only as needed to operate or support the App, including with:

• Apple, for App Store purchases, subscriptions, notifications, device features, and iCloud features.
• Exchange-rate providers, for currency pair requests where live rates are used.
• Service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, or support the App, if such providers are used.
• Authorities or other parties if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.

11. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the App, or use App features to remove it. If sync, purchase validation, support, or server-based features are used, related information may be retained as needed to provide those services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, and enforce agreements.

12. Your Choices

• You can delete saved history, saved plans, subscriptions, goals, reminders, and notes where the App provides deletion controls.
• You can disable notifications in device settings.
• You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
• You can disable iCloud sync in device settings where applicable.
• You can contact us for privacy or support questions.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

14. Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by the App. However, no storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. International Users

If you use the App outside your country of residence, information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the App or on our support page. Your continued use of the App after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
